I am a Michigan-based researcher and writer whose work synthesizes the humanities and social sciences to examine the interstices of environmentalism, sustainable development, and social change. My research and writings have been published both nationally and internationally and presented at numerous conferences.

I hold a Master of Arts in multidisciplinary Environmental Studies from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) where my thesis research utilized a world-system perspective to follow the contours of Kurdish environmental movements in Northern Syria and Turkey in reponse to national projects of large-scale sustainable development.
